point
of

s
activity
is
an
innovative
project,
result
of
the

research
potential.
UNINOVA
carries
out
a
labour
of
monitoring
and
identification
of
USC
research
projects,
which
have
potential
to
become
innovative

Drawing
up
of
a
business
plan
by
an
experts
team
A
business
plan
is
a
written
document
which
reflects
all
necessary
aspects
to
set
in
motion
our
business
idea.
The
business
plan
includes
the
economic-financial
and
commercial
viability
of
the
project,
the
necessary
human
resources
to
develop
the
activity,
the
most
suitable
juridical
form,
the
target
market,
etc.
The
business
plan
is
a
very
useful
tool
for
the
project
promoters
because
it
will
help
them
to:
-
Clarify
and
contrast
the
initial
ideas
-
Contribute
a
solid
document
of
viability
to
provide
to
any
organism
or
bank
in
the
event
of
asking
for
a
loan
-
Enclose
as
a
business
card
before
potential
partners
and
clients

Financing
Business
initiatives
set
up
in
UNINOVA´
s
incubator
have
several
financing
alternatives:
1.
Santiago
de
Compostela
University,
in
order
to
bet
on
these
innovative
projects,
participates
in
the
incubated
enterprises'
social
capital
in
a
minority
way
(it
is
about
helping
and
not
controlling
the
enterprises)
and
temporary
(contribution
is
made
during
the
period
of
time
that
incubation
lasts).
2. Traditional
way: Galician banks, Caixa
Galicia and Santander
Central Hispano, offer
preferential financing conditions to
enterprises set up in UNINOVA and have
a favourable predisposition to study
their business plans.
3.
Innovative
way:
venture
capital.
Santiago
de
Compostela
University
has
set
up
a
venture
capital
partnership,
UNIRISCO,
in
order
to
provide
financial
support
to
those
innovative
enterprises
created
in
the
University
framework.
4.
UNINOVA
works
as
guarantor
for
the
business
initiatives,
together
with
the
economical
support
of
Santiago
University,
with
the
aim
of
facilitating
the
access
to
financing
sources.
5.
Self-financing:
It
is
essential
that
entrepreneur
has
always
to
make
an
own
contribution,
with
the
purpose
that
he
or
she
invests
in
what
they
believe:
turning
their
idea
into
a
company.

Setting-up
of
the
incubator
If
as
result
of
the
drawing
up
of
the
business
plan,
it
is
proved
that
the
project
is
feasible,
the

enterprise
will
set

in
the
premises
of
UNINOVA´
s
incubator,
the
Industrial

El

The

has
an
extension
of
1200
square
metres
and
is
divided
in

100
square
metres
and
is
divided
in
two
parts:
one
for
the
industrial
production
and
the
other
one
for
the
offices.
Every
module
is
equipped
with
the
following
services:

fibre

of

and

Monitoring
and
support
Enterprises
set
up
in
UNINOVA
will
benefit
the
whole
time
from
the
support
of
an
expert
team
as
regards
business
administration
and
commercial,
economical,
financial
and
computer
design,
as
well
as
from
constant
advice
on
business
management.
In
order
to
check
enterprises´
progress,
a
six-monthly
monitoring
of
the
balance
and
accounts
is
carried
out.

Internationalisation
From
the
second
year
of
activity,
incubated
enterprises
are
expected
to
carry
out
commercial
operations
abroad;
with
this
aim,
UNINOVA
will
facilitate
them
studies
about
international
markets
and
will
support
trade
missions
abroad.

Training
Furthermore,
UNINOVA
works
as
a
training
centre
of
managers
and
workers,
organizing
specific
training
programmes
and
activities
focused
on
entrepreneurs
detection.
